117th Canada Express Entry Draw specific to Federal Skilled Trades

On May 15th, Canada held the 117th Express Entry draw and invited 500 Express Entry candidates specifically in the Federal Skilled Trades program only.

The Details

The CRS cut-off threshold here was 332. Another feature of this draw was the use of Tie-break mechanism and the date was Aug 29th, 2018. It also did not consider Candidates belonging to the Federal Skilled Worker and Canadian Experience Class programs in this draw. Generally, IRCC holds few program-specific draws every to meet the target specific to skilled trades professionals. Furthermore, the qualifying norms for the FSTC are that a candidate should have a valid offer from a local employer or possess the Qualification Certificate in the trade issued by an appropriate provincial/territorial authority in Canada. Additionally, these candidates must possess proficiency in English/French equal to the CLB level 4.
