Express Entry Selection System
The system of Express Entry was introduced in 2015 and works as the main source for attracting skilled foreign professionals in Canada. There are three programs in this high-skilled immigration as below:
The system works by giving a score to All Eligible candidates in the Comprehensive Ranking System, on human factors like skilled work experience, education, age, and language proficiency in English or French.
Having the job offer is not a requirement for the eligibility of candidates in Express Entry but it carries extra CRS points for those who have them. Authorities invite a specific number of the top-scoring candidates to seek out permanent residence through the regular draws that happen every two weeks.
There was a tie-break mechanism by IRCC with May 9, 2019, at 01:16:02 UTC in the draw. Candidates with a score of 471 and those submitted the profile before this date and time received the Invitation. The processing standard time is set at six months for applications seeking permanent residence through the Express Entry.
Nine provinces and two territories run the enhanced PNP stream with a link to the Express Entry. Some streams manage with a low CRS requirement and some of them do not have it. This allows the participating territories and provinces to select candidates and also invite them to get the provincial nomination and progress towards permanent residence.
Express Entry candidates obtaining such provincial nomination accumulate 600 CRS score points in extra and successfully get the ITA. The Holders of Masters Degrees and scorers of 8 in listening besides 7 in writing, reading, and speaking in IELTS can easily enter the pool if they have the required CRS score.
