OINP On A Progressive Path

Also, with these nominations that were announced in the week, the annual allocation for Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program, in the Canadian Provincial Nominee Program reached 7,350.

In the PNP there is a provision for the participating provinces as well as territories for nominating specific candidates under the Economic immigration every year to get Canada PR.

Moreover, all additional nominations allow the Program to continue with the processing of applications and also issue nominations above its original allocation for 2019 standing at 6,650.

Invitations in Express Entry

On 11th December, OINP issued 667 Notifications of Interest, in favor of Express Entry candidates, by using the Skilled Trades Stream that is one among the three immigration pathways, of OINP linked to the system of federal Express Entry. This serves as a principal source to attract skilled overseas labor to Canada.

The Human Capital Priorities Stream, additionally was busy this year, and issued close to 7,000 Notifications to candidates in five draws.

The candidates belonging to Express Entry, receiving the provincial nomination, get 600 additional points, in their CRS score, and are assured of obtaining, an invitation to apply, to seek the permanent residence, in the country.

The province is making a fine progress

Through the Skilled Trades Stream, OINP can search the pool of Express Entry, to source candidates, who have work experience, in Ontario, in qualified skilled trades. Later, it invites them, to send the application, for obtaining the provincial nomination, to get permanent residence.

The Eligible trades are listed as per the Minor Group 633 or the Major Groups 73, 72, or 82 in the National Occupational Classification.

Furthermore, in the December 11 draw candidates in Express Entry with a CRS score of 410 received the NOI. In the federal draw of Express Entry held on the same day the requirement for a minimum score was 472.

All candidates, in Express Entry, receiving an NOI, besides applying for provincial nominations from the province will stand a chance in OINP nomination allocation for 2020.

Nominations in Temporary Foreign Worker category

The OINP made an announcement stating that applications for 250 nominations in the temporary overseas workers' category having work-experience rated as skill level C in National Occupational Classification will be processed in its In-Demand Skills Stream.

The nominations will be an integral part of the federal initiative of this year which created 2,000 extra spaces in PNP this year so that a few of the long-standing, intermediate-skilled temporary overseas workers integrating into the Canadian society can become its permanent residents. Finally, the OINP has capped an amazing year with many Express Entry invitations. These remind the presence of options for obtaining the federal invitation to get the permanent residence in case of a low CRS score.
