British Columbia set a record for the minimum score in Entrepreneur Stream

The immigration authorities of British Columbia set a new record for the minimum score in the Entrepreneur Stream for the fifth draw held on March 26, 2019. Additionally, the Candidates needed a score of 106 points for qualifying in the BC PNP draw. The previous record was 108 points. 23 Candidates received an invitation in this draw. The Requirements The candidates in the BC Immigration category had to meet these criteria:
  • A personal net worth of $800,000;
  • An investment of $400 000 for establishing/ purchasing and expanding an eligible business.;
  • Creating as much as three jobs for citizens/permanent residents of Canada;
  • Day to day Participating in the  management and direction of business;
  • Signing a Performance Agreement with the province before nomination;
  • Candidates of an Entrepreneur category can sponsor a close staff member to seek Canadian PR.

Qualification norms for the Regional Entrepreneurs

Also, the candidates in this category have to meet these criteria:
  • A personal net worth of $400,000;
  • An investment of $200,000 for establishing/ purchasing and expanding an eligible business outside the Vancouver /Abbotsford metropolitan areas;
  • Day to day Participating in the management and direction of business;
  • Signing a Performance Agreement with the province before nomination;
Meanwhile, the provincial immigration authorities conducted general draw in three weeks on March 26 and also issued 242 ITAs in five provincial streams. Also, the minimum scores moved up in the draw saw from the previous draw held on March 5. The score requirement in provincial streams and also in the EE was 94 points. It was 100 points for International graduates in both categories. Finally, for the semi-skilled/entry-level workers, it was 73 points. Invitation in the March 26 Draw
