Have you been trying to land a job in Canada? Or is Canada your dream destination for settling down? If you have been trying to get an immigrant status in Canada, you must be familiar with the concept of Express Entry draws. The last one took place a few days back.
2, 991 overseas immigrant applicants got the ITA for Canada PR during the express entry draw on August 9. This happened to be the second draw in the month of August. IRCC gave ITAs to candidates whose CRS scores were 433 or more. The applicant can bring his or her family members like common-law-partners, spouses, and children.
This draw recorded the lowest CRS scores following the changes to the CRS system done in June 2017. Immigrant applicants who have a sibling in Canada or are fluent in French are given extra points now.
The previous draws held after June had CRS scores ranging in the 440-s. The August 9 draw took place barely a week after the previous one, which is one of the reasons why the CRS scores fell. If there is a long gap between two draws, more immigrant applicants enter the pool. This consequentially leads to an increment in CRS threshold scores.
After the August 9 draw, the number of ITAs offered during express entry draws amounts to 125, 587.
The IRCC has issued 60, 742 of these ITA-s till now. The number is greater than the sum total of ITA-s issued last year.
After the changes in June, there was a temporary slowdown of activities with lesser draws happening. However, the IRCC is back to updating all details of immigration for the applicants.
