Coronavirus: Agents of Canada Immigration Can be Reached by Phone Again
Canadian government immigration agents can once again be contacted by phone following Refugees, Immigration, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) resumed call operations.

Earlier, the call center had only been reachable by email after call services were discontinued because of the pandemic coronavirus.

Complete Details of Phone Support Services

The ongoing influence of COVID-19 indicates the service will operate at reduced capacity, with calls taken Monday to Friday within 9 am and 5 pm EST. IRCC notified technical problems could happen as they provided new systems that have been put in place to help agents who are working remotely.

Thank you for your patience as we proceed to work to address operational difficulties resulting from this global pandemic, a statement announced. Inquiries can be presented online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Rather than closing itself off completely during the pandemic currently engulfing the globe, Canada has proceeded to look for a place where newcomers can support the nation to make a swift economic revival in post-coronavirus times.

Canadian lockdown due to coronavirus in mid-March noticed it restrict travel to all but excluded citizens, permanent residents of Canada, and their immediate members of the family.

It quickly launched exceptions as of 26 March 2020 for permanent residents who are approved prior to 18 March 2020, for all work permit holders, especially those in food-related and agriculture professions, and for study permit holders who are approved prior to 18 March.

Since the lockdown hit, the federal government has attended 6 Express Entry draws, announcing Invitations to Apply to 11,720 candidates with a Provincial Nomination and candidates in the Canadian Experience Class, most likely to now be here as temporary residents.

Draws have also proceeded at a provincial level, with British Columbia, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, and Nova Scotia all announcing invitations since 15 March 2020. Plenty of these draws have been tailored to the challenging economic situations produced by COVID-19 limitations.
