Including this draw, PEI issued 1,031 invitations to apply seeking provincial nominations since January 2019. When the aspirants choose applying for Permanent Residence in Canada by using the provincial nomination there is a guarantee of success as there is an addition of 600 points in the CRS score.
The Category of Express Entry in the PEI PNP has a link with the federal Express Entry system that manages a pool of candidates for top skilled immigration categories.
Candidates need the creation of a separate profile in the Expression of Interest with the PEI Program. Additionally these profiles get the EOI score from 100 points based on factors of work experience, education, and language proficiency in English/French. The arrangement between the federal and the provincial governments allows the province to make unique rules to select immigrants. It also prioritizes candidates in Express Entry who live and work in PEI.
It also holds monthly draws to extend invitations to the skilled and eligible candidates for applying to get provincial nomination to Prince Edward Island. The future draws are scheduled for Oct 17th, 2019 and also in subsequent months.
This Category of PEI PNP has no alignment with the Express Entry but there are three streams
All the streams need submission by candidates to the Expression of Interest to get eligibility in the provincial nomination. The criteria want the candidates to work in PEI or full-time eligibility, and a long-term job offer from a provincial employer.
The eligible overseas entrepreneurs having management experience or business ownership with an intention to invest and manage the business in PEI can submit an application in this Stream. The Work Permit stream also requires an EOI system based on points. The candidate with a low rank in the Sept 19 draw obtained the score of 115.
