The north-eastern Ontario's city Sudbury will originally aim for the Mining supply & services sector and also from the tourism sector. Applications from any other sector will also be allowed from applicants who are already residing in Sudbury.
Officials have announced a list of 20 target professions through the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot.
Sudbury is one of the eight listed communities to start its website for the immigration pilot. The others are Sault Ste. Marie, Timmins, and Thunder Bay in Ontario province, Brandon and Altona or Rhineland in Manitoba province, Claresholm in Alberta province, plus Vernon in British Columbia province.
