Saskatchewan holds a Draw and Invites 1,908 candidates within 7 Days
On October 24th, the immigrationauthorities in Saskatchewan conducted a new draw of Expression of Interest, and issued invitations to 922 aspirants. The SINP draw has during the last week issued 1,908 invitations. These Invites belonged to the provincial streams of Occupations In-Demand as well as Express Entry in the draw. Candidates in the former category received 550 invitations, and for the latter the tally was 372. In these streams the minimum score was 69 points.

This was also the fifth draw was after SINP expanded the list of eligible occupations, to 218 from 19.

Stages in Expression of Interest

The Process for Expression of Interest in Saskatchewan has these stages:

  • Submission of EOI profile,
  • Entering the EOI pool
  • Selection of EOI candidates
  • Issuing Invitations to apply through regular draws
  • Submission of full application in 60 days
  • Assessing of applications by SINP officials and making a decision

Requirements for the Sub-Category in Occupation-In-Demand

  • A minimum Score of 60 points on the point assessment grid;
  • The language score of Canadian Language Benchmark 4 but some of the Employers can ask for a higher score also;
  • Completing one year training education, or apprenticeship (post-secondary) that is comparable to the local educational system
  • Diplomas and Degrees taken from outside the country must carry the Educational Credential Assessment;
  • Work experience of one-year during the past ten years:

In concerned field of education or training job, and

In eligible job listed in NOC A, B, 0

  • Obtaining the suitable license in the province if it is a field requirement
  • Enough Settlement Funds added with the Settlement Plan
  • Online Payment of non-refundable $300 fee for application

Requirements for the Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category

Candidates that belong to areas outside Canada, or those having the legal status in the country, are eligible for this immigration category, but they must not be the refugee claimants,

In addition, these candidates should:

  • Have an Express Entry profile plus profile number as well as job seeker code;
  • Get 60 points on the point assessment grid of SINP;
  • Get a valid language test results of a respectable testing agency comparable to the profile in Express Entry;
  • Complete a year of training education, or apprenticeship (post-secondary) that compares well with the local education system
  • Earning the certificate diploma, or degree
  • Diplomas and Degrees taken from outside the country must carry the Educational Credential Assessment;
  • A year of experience in the specific educational field or training job:
  • A year of experience during the last ten years in a non-trade skilled profession;
  • Work experience for Two years in skilled trades during the last five years; or
  • A year of experience in the country in the country during the last three years in the trade category or non-trade category
  • Sufficient work experience in a top skill, and eligible occupation in NOC A, B, 0
  • Obtaining the suitable license in the province if it is a professional regulation/skilled trade Also all the skilled trades, require a certificate from Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission in Saskatchewan.
  • Enough Settlement Funds added with the Settlement Plan
  • Online Payment of non-refundable $300 fee for application
