Saskatchewan Immigration Draw
Saskatchewan held a draw on November 12th and invited 525 candidates belonging to the Occupations In-demand Express Entry for applying to get provincial nomination.

Promising Performance In Saskatchewan Immigration

The share of candidates in Express Entry was 303 and the candidates receive 600 additional CRS score points successfully on obtaining the provincial nomination. This is a guarantee to them to get the ITA towards the permanent residence in later draws of federal Express Entry. The share of candidates in Occupation In-demand was 222 invitations. This sub-category of the Program caters to such candidates who are not having the profile in Express Entry. Both sub-categories enjoy popularity among immigration aspirants as there is no requirement of the job offer. Also, the eligibility norms specify candidates having a year of work experience in occupations that are eligible, and also related to the study field.  As well they have to meet other criteria.

The Popularity Of Saskatchewan Immigration

Saskatchewan conducted 12 rounds given that it has replaced the short In-Demand Jobs List and introduced an Excluded Jobs List on Sep 25th. As a result, the numbers of eligible jobs were expanded, for both sub-categories, in excess of 200, from 19. The invitations issued had a total of 5229.

The present draw of SINP had a focus on work experience in 94 jobs while inviting candidates. The categories were:

  • Power Systems Operators
  • Human Resource Managers,
  • Database Analysts and Administrators,
  • Drafting Technologists and Technicians,
  • Power Engineers

The norms for getting consideration in provincial nomination in both subcategories are that these candidates have to submit the Expression of Interest first to Program authorities. Each profile in EoI gets the score from 100 points based on eligibility factors like work experience, age, language proficiency, education,   and a previous connection with the Saskatchewan.

Making The Next Move

The top-scoring candidates get the provincial invitation to apply for nomination in draws held regularly. The feature of this draw was a minimum score of 69. The aspirants earning the educational qualifications beyond Canada had to go for assessment of educational qualifications.
